Beijing: China’s economy last year expanded at its fastest rate in a decade, official data showed Monday, but growth lost steam in the last three months as authorities grappled with virus outbreaks and a property market slump. While the 8.1 percent annual expansion beat forecasts, a National Bureau of Statistics warned that “the domestic economy is under the triple pressures of demand contraction, supply shock and weakening expectations”.
