KARACHI: The rulers have been looting taxpayers’ money with both hands and depriving the poor people of the basic facilities, says Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Addressing gatherings of people in different towns of Sindh on the second day of PTI’s anti-corruption rally on Wednesday, Qureshi said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government and its administration tried their best to stop the PTI activists from attending the rallies and installed barbed wires, but people crossed all hurdles and made the rally in Mirpur Khas a historic one. On Wednesday, the anti-corruption rally of the PTI reached Mirpur Khas via Malir, Gharo, Thatta, Badin and other towns. PTI leaders Dr Arif Alvi, Haleem Adil Sheikh, Zain Hussain Qureshi, Gul Muhammad Rind, Lal Malhi, Jay Parkash, Subhan Sahil and others also addressed the rally. Qureshi said that PPP people created fences of barbed wire at different places to stop people from participating in the PTI rally, but people crossed all the fences. He said the people of Sindh proved that they supported PTI Chairman Imran Khan. He said the people of Mirpur Khas had been deprived of all basic facilities for decades. They are deprived of clean water and basic healthcare facilities, but the cruel rulers are indifferent to all these injustices. He said that 80 percent of the money in the government’s kitty was collected from the poor people and the rulers were plundering this money mercilessly. Earlier, Qureshi was accorded a warm welcome when he reached the venue of the public gathering. Party activists danced to the tunes of party songs. Saluting the PTI workers, Qureshi said he would support them on every forum. He said his party would continue to highlight the problems of the people. After Mirpur Khas, the rally reached Sindhri and Kandiyari where it was accorded a warm welcome. Later, the anti-corruption march was welcomed in Sanghar. Speaking on the occasion, Qureshi said that people of Sindh could not get government jobs without paying bribe and they could not get justice without greasing the palms of the corrupt elements. Later, the rally marched toward Shahdadpur and Sakrand. On this occasion, Alvi and Sheikh spoke to the participants.
