ISLAMABAD: Petition has been filed against the Federal Government and Federal Government Employees Housing Federation (FGEHF) for allegedly allotting precious plots to top bureaucrats and ignoring the employees of lower grades.
Petition said that federal government has allotted precious and larger plots to senior bureaucrats to win the general election-2018 and the low grade employees are being ignored on this count.
The petition has been filed by seven employees of federal government through their counsel advocate Malik Talat Hussain in IHC.
The petitioner has taken the plea that the Foundation has decided to allot precious and larger plots to the senior bureaucrats in FGEHF housing schemes in sectors F-14 and F-15 while all the employees of grade 1 to 15 have been completely ignored. The employees working in lower grades are extremely worried and perturbed over the reports published in national news papers over ignoring them in allotment of plots in these housing schemes.
The petition said 3000 plots have been allocated for category-1 which comprises officers serving in grade 20 to grde-22. The plot measures 50×90 square feet. 2000 plots measuring 40×80 square feet each have been allotted for category 2 which includes officers of grade 18 and 19. Only 450 plots measuring 35×70 square feet each have been allocated for officers from grade 16 to 17 in category-3. No plot has been allotted to employees falling under category 4 and 5.
The petition further said that the petitioners are government employees and they are entitled to plots by virtue of seniority in age and pay scale while age seniority is pre-requisite for allotment of plots in sectors F-14 and F-15.
Allocating plots in large number for officers in category 1 and 2, allocating only 450 plots for category-3 employees and depriving low grade employees of the plots is a discriminatory policy of FGEHF.
It was further said in the petition that FGEHF had invited applications for allotment of plots in categories 1 to 5 and it has received membership fee from the employees falling in all the five categories. The two departments along with federal government had demonstrated malafide intent so the way could be paved for winning general election-2018 by allotting the precious plots to senior bureaucrats. The petitioner has prayed the court to restrain the two departments from allotting plots to specific categories.
The petition has been filed by federal government employees including Sarfraz Shah, Ayyaz, Rashid, Younus Khan, Gul Khan, Shaista Nasreen and Riaz Begum.
