LAHORE – Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto announced on Twitter that Ali Haider Gilani, son of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, has been recovered from Afghanistan’s Ghazni province. Ali Haider, a candidate for the Punjab Assembly, was kidnapped by some unidentified gunmen in Multan on May 9, 2013. Ali Haider was kidnapped when he was leaving a street corner meeting outside the house of a supporter at the Matti Tal Road in Multan’s Farrukh Town. His two associates were killed in the process. At the time of the abduction, Ali Haider was contesting for the general election from PPP-200 constituency in Multan.
