ISLAMABAD: Days after Taliban supremo Mullah Akhtar Mansour was declared dead in a US drone strike, Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday said Mansour body had been handed over to his family. Mansour and two other people were blown to pieces when the CIA-operated drone targeted their vehicle in Balochistan, a move Pakistan later said was an attack on its sovereignty. Nisar said family of the late Taliban leader took his body to other side of the border. He also clarified that the delay in identifying the dead body was due to DNA test, which requires time. The minister further said all those who verified travel documents and identity card of Mullah Mansor had been arrested. “Man who issued ID card to Mullah Mansour in 2002 has also been taken into custody.”
