Sub-inspector killed in Quetta

Quetta: A police sub-inspector was gunned down by armed assailants on Samungli Road in Quetta on Wednesday. Sub-inspector Mukhtiar Ahmed was on his way to perform his duties when some armed men turned up on a motorcycle, opening fire on him, and fled the scene, leaving him fatally injured.

The injured sub-inspector was rushed to a local hospital, from where he was referred to the CMH Quetta, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Doctors said that several bullets had hit the police official in the head. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
