Boy drowns in canal in Multan

ISLAMABAD: A six-year-old boy jumped into the canal after being afraid of an oncoming speedy bus in Multan’s Head Nobahar. Eyewitnesses said that the victim Afzal was standing with his sister near the canal when he became scared of the oncoming speedy bus and jumped into the canal, a private news channel reported. Afzal was living with his family in huts near Vehari Chowk, Multan. Sources said that the rescue personnel arrived at the scene and launched an operation to recover the child.
