Ishaq Dar says Imran should express regrets to Maryam

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that when the facts have come to light as to why the sister of Imran Khan had to face an embarrassing situation he should express regrets to Maryam Nawaz. Brushing aside the mud slinging and the statement given by PTI chief Imran Khan declaring Maryam Nawaz responsible for Friday’s Lahore incident the finance minister said that it was a general habit of Imran Khan to react on heresay without making any investigation into the matter. Being the head of a political party Imran Khan should adopt a responsible attitude, he remarked. Imran Khan should spend some time with his daughter besides his sons so that he could feel the sentiments and love of daughters. Maryam Nawaz is a daughter of the nation and all of us. Giving a statement about her without verification was regrettable and an irresponsible act. Imran Khan should now regret with Maryam Nawaz when the reality had come to the fore. Imran Khan should decide whether he should part ways with the newly forged alliance and announce a campaign against the party after Eid. “Let us see if he does something or sets an example of unprincipled politics once again like in the past by taking a somersault”, he said.
