Sabahat Zaman has been beating all odds this summer; she is a chef from Dallas, Texas who has a fiery passion to cook and experiment with ingredients until she comes up with the perfect and most convenient recipe. She has been teaching everything she has learnt on social media amidst the pandemic. She began cooking at the very young of age eight, when she first secretly stepped into the kitchen to make Tea. She is now a food blogger, a Doctor, as well as an author. “I can’t go without creating something new in the kitchen every single day, it’s a restless passion of mine” Zaman says, while talking exclusively to Daily Times. She believes in creating magic, she says there’s something so magical about stepping into the kitchen with nothing and coming out with something delicious to serve Sharing what she wants to do in the future , Sabahat opened up and said “I am so ready for this new chapter in my life, I’ve got so much planned and I’m currently working on opening a restaurant’’ she then said ‘’I want people to able to learn how to cook, regardless of the consequences, I don’t care how old or young they are, social media is the perfect way’’ Shedding light on her own routine and what an average day in her life looks like, The multitalented chef says that it’s very hectic and jam-packed “I cook every single day of the week, I can’t go without cooking, I’ve got to balance my cooking hobby and professional career very carefully’’ she then went on and said ‘’Posting on social media has been very therapeutic and satisfying for me, I love when people say nice things about my recipes and how they’ve learned from them, the feeling is so pure and unmatched” When asked about what inspires her every day, Zaman says “everything inspires me, from food to colors in a grocery store, sometimes inspiration comes in bulk and other times you’ve got to really dig deep and find it” she then added ‘’were all human, there are days when we feel low and don’t feel as motivated, but you’ve really got to push through and think of what got you started” When asked about what advice she would give to young creatives, Zaman says “don’t let bullies, haters and bad vibes get to you, it happened to me, it happens to all of us, we’ve just got to keep our head held high and keep moving on forward, experiment and practice as much as you can’’ Zaman says she’s most inspired by Gordon Ramsay when it comes to cooking a meal, “He’s got something that not everyone does, he’s at a point where he has perfected his craft, he’s got millions of fans worldwide” she went on and said “He started following me on instagram one day and i just couldn’t believe my eyes, my whole world froze for a while, my heartbeat fastened, so surreal to say that we talk on instagram dms now”. She made an instagram page four months ago where she teaches people how to prepare a meal, from casual to fine dining she’s got it all on her instagram page, the page is also followed by world renowned chef Gordon Ramsay, her page ‘SabsFoodHeaven’ now has over 60k followers.
