We will not allow any local or foreign land grabbers to devour the agricultural and residential lands of the people,” he said. He said that the people of Lahore have given lands in the wider national interest as per the rules of DHA and LDA but “we are not ready to give lands under Ravi Urban Development Project.” “The Ravi Urban Development Authority Act has made it an East India Company. The authority act has given those powers that have not been given to any other authority before it,” he said. He said that according to the Act, the authority has also been given the power to bring in any group from all over the world and make them the owners of lands in the style of East India Company. He further said that the authority has also been given the power to mortgage lands of Lahore and collect as many donations as it wants from all over the world. He added that the authority for international loans and foreign funding has also been given to the authority. Mian Mustafa Rashid said that the Muslim League-Functional also recorded protests all over Sindh against the presidential ordinance issued regarding the islands of Sindh after which the Sindh Assembly passed a resolution against the ordinance. Prime Minister Imran Khan is rewarding the land mafia in both projects Sindh Islands and Ravi Urban Development Project. A large number of people from the project-affected areas were also present there.
