LAHORE: The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic had deprived the fans of live cricket action after some matches of the fifth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) were played behind closed doors, before the tournament eventually got postponed. However, the fans’ months long wait to get their money back is about to be over. Starting from next week, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will begin the process to provide a full refund of the tickets that were purchased for matches that were postponed and played without fans. According to reports, the ticket refunds will take place in two phases. In the first phase, tickets for matches that took place behind closed doors will be refunded. After which, tickets for playoffs will be refunded. Both phases will take 10 days each. Fans will need to contact the local courier service for their refunds. Meanwhile, the PCB is looking to organise the remainder of PSL 2020 in November.
