Minor boy bitten by dogs suffers due to negligence of officials at Civil Hospital Dadu

The officials of Accounts Branch of Civil Hospital Dadu refused to fill the fuel tank of an ambulance to shift a four-year-old boy, Dost Ali Jamali, to Peoples Medical College Hospital Nawabshah from Civil Hospital Dadu after he was bitten by dogs.

The boy was tormenting at emergency ward of the hospital but due to none availability of fuel in ambulance driver refused to drive ambulance. Citizens collected money and filled fuel in the ambulance. According to details, a four years old boy, Dost Ali Jamali son of Shir Ali Jamali resident of village Dodani Jamali of taluka Dadu was brought at civil hospital Dadu by his parents after hue dogs has bitten him seriously. As soon as, he was brought at civil hospital, a Medical Officer performing duty at emergency ward, referred him to people medical hospital (Nawabshah) in a serious condition but due to none providing fuel to ambulance of the hospital by accounts staff of the hospital, boy was tormenting and facing serious condition, the citizens collected money and filled fuel in the ambulance. As soon as, ambulance carrying boy to people’s medical hospital Nawabshah, he died on the spot.

Speaking with journalists, Ali Shir Jamali father of the deceased boy complained that civil hospital administration has refused to fill fuel in the tank of ambulance which caused delaying tactics to bring boy at hospital for treatment. He said that he was poor labourer and his boy was facing serious condition and tormenting at bed of emergency ward but hospital administration/ accounts branch officials refused to give fuel to ambulance for shifting his son to a hospital at Nawabshah. He said that citizens collected money and filled fuel in the tank of government ambulance and later, ambulance proceeded to hospital of Nawabshah but his son died as soon as reached at hospital.

He said that it was budget of millions rupees but accounts officials of civil hospital Dadu were embezzling it through showing fake vouchers of referring patients towards other hospitals.

Civil surgeon of civil Hospital Dadu, Dr Hameed Meerani said that it was early in the morning when a four years boy was brought at hospital Dadu due to biting of dog. He said that boy was serious hence duty medical officer at emergency Dr Niaz Ahmed Kalhoro referred him Nawabshah hospital for treatment. He said that money was sent through easy Paisa to driver of the ambulance to fill fuel in the ambulance. He said that he has sad on the Darth of boy due to dog biting.
