Katy Perry has divulged she’s expecting a baby girl with her partner Orlando Bloom – after previously announcing her hopes that she would be expecting a daughter. She shared a photo of Bloom to her Instagram with a face covered in what looked to be pink icing as the expectant father beamed at the camera. The popstar shared “it’s a girl”, with the message surrounded in pink love hearts, as well as tagging her location as “Girls Run The World”. The 35-year-old first announced her pregnancy to world via the music video to her song Never Worn White, where she revealed her blossoming baby bump. It’s the first child for the couple, although Bloom shares nine-year-old son Flynn with model ex-wife Miranda Kerr. The California Girls hitmaker had previously expressed her gender preference for her unborn child during a performance at the Women’s Cricket World Cup Final in Melbourne, Australia in March where she told the crowd she “hoped” it was a girl. Orlando and Perry became engaged on Valentine’s Day last year after around three years of dating on and off. It will also be the second wedding for Perry, who was previously married to Russell Brand for 14 months before they split in 2012. The comedian is now married to wife Laura Gallacher, with whom he shares two daughters. There’s been some good news for the star in her professional life recently too, after she was cleared of plagiarising a Christian rap song for her 2013 hit Dark Horse.
