ISLAMABAD: Uri Attack may not have disturbed the Pakistani nation much, but it seems to have totally shattered Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, it has emerged. Speaking exclusively to Khabaristan Times, Khan alleged that Indo-Pak premiers and ‘best friends’ Nawaz Sharif and Narendra Modi planned the Uri attack together to prevent his march on Pakistani PM’s headquarter in Raiwind, Lahore. “This is not fair. Every time I plan on starting a long march in my SUV with people following on foot, something like this happens, somewhere in the world. I can understand me having to show concern when attacks are launched in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but apparently now we have to change schedules after attacks in India as well,” Khan said adding that, “The Uri attack was clearly planned and carried out by Modi to save his best friend Nawaz’s backside.” Khan believes the attack was planned when Modi stopped over in Lahore at Nawaz Sharif’s place. “They both hate me so much that they can’t stand me inside the Raiwind palace.” When asked how he was so sure of this, Khan said, “Well Nawaz Sharif knows the ‘third umpire’ is on my side so he took help from the DRS system to tackle my tsunami.” This scribe, confused, asked that since the third umpire had not helped him during the Islamabad dharna, what made him think things would change now. Imran Khan gave a sheepish grin and said, “You don’t know how things work these days. We need neutral umpires. Nawaz has got his Indian umpire, I need to get one from China – not in terms of quality, but nationality.” Khan was then asked about his future plans about the long march to Raiwind. He was upbeat as usual. “Well if Raiwind is blocked again, we will have no other option but to take our long march towards New Delhi.” This article originally appeared in Khabaristan Times and has been reproduced with permission
