PESHAWAR: Teachers belonging to Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) and Frontier Region (FR) Bannu on Tuesday staged a protest demonstration against the Director Education FATA for allegedly creating hurdles in the teachers’ upgradation. They demanded of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra to transfer the FATA Director Education immediately. The annoyed FATA teachers while carrying banners and placards inscribed with different slogans in favour of their demands, gathered at Sher Shah Suri Road opposite Cantonment Railway Station and raised slogans against the concerned director. Malik Abbas Ali and Nawab Afridi were leading the agitators alleged that the FATA Director Education was unaware of the basic issues being faced by the tribal belt teachers. They blamed that the said director since assumption of charge put at stake the FATA education while billions of rupees allocated for the equipment of schools located in tribal areas were also wasted due director inexperienced.
