LAHORE: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Zahid Akhtar Zaman on Wednesday directed the relevant officials to expedite the process of implementation of LDA City Housing Scheme, set up to provide low-cost housing amenity to thousands of families in the provincial capital.
While chairing a meeting to review the affairs of LDA City, the director general ordered the officials to plan residential, commercial, recreational as well as other public utility zones of the scheme as per international standards and urged the relevant LDA officers to assign top priority to the scheme affairs.
The meeting was informed that complete data of files of LDA City has been uploaded on the LDA website in order to ensure transparency, besides maintaining public confidence in the authority. The same data was also available on the website of LDA’s development partners for the scheme. File owners can get complete information about the status of their land files by following the instructions on the website and entering their CNIC or file numbers. The file owners can update themselves about payment made so far, number of instalments and remaining dues to be deposited by them.
The meeting was further informed that construction of an approach road, starting from Gujjumatta, Ferozepur Road, to the scheme, was now in final stages.
