Author: Sajid Shah

PESHAWAR: Terming the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Raiwind rally a flop show, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter Senior Vice President, Ikhtiyar Wali has warned that his party workers will come to streets across the province and besiege the Chief Minister’s house if Imran Khan, didn’t stop anti-Prime Minister campaign forthwith.

Addressing a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Saturday, Ikhtiyar Wali said that despite reserved seats in the train and hiring of special vehicles for Raiwind march, the PTI had totally failed to take maximum number of participants to its rally from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which proved that the people had rejected its politics of agitation.

Accompanied by PML-N Peshawar President Sattar Khalil, Moazzam Bacha, Mian Alamgir, Khalil Khattak, and Muslims Students Federation (MSF) President Haider Shah Bacha, Ikhtiyar said there was nothing new in speeches of Imran Khan, Chief Minister Parvaiz and other top leadership of PTI during their addressed in the Raiwind rally. He also slammed Chief Minister KP for his derogatory remarks from top of the container. He asked the KP CM to evaluate the performance of his corrupt members of provincial cabinet and hold them accountable for indulging in massive corruption, before accusing a top leadership of the country. “The PTI Chairman and KP Chief Minister should get pardon from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over their derogatory remarks and abusive language, during addresses in Raiwind from the top of container”, he demanded. Commenting on remarks of PTI Chairman about spending of billions of rupees on infrastructure development in Jati Umra from public exchequer, Ikhtiyar Wali has asked the Imran Khan to make the things in order first in KP, and look towards the pathetic condition of health and education sectors instead of targeting others. He severely criticized the KP CM and his cabinet members for using non-parliamentary language and remarks.

Terming Imran Khan as pioneer of offshore company, PML-N leader asked the PTI Chairman to start accountability process from himself (Imran Khan), besides it should hold the Chief Minister KP, provincial ministers and CM advisors answerable for allegedly involvement in massive corruption in the province.

He maintained that the change was not seen anywhere in KP, which was time and again claimed by PTI Chairman during its pre and post election speeches. He said that people have recognized who had been serving people and who had been busy staging protests for political gains. He claimed that PTI should pack up from Khyber Pakthunkhwa, and PML-N will emerge stronger force in upcoming general elections in KP.

He further said they were remained calm for last three and half years, and didn’t take any step to destabilize the KP government. But, he warned they will shun the reconciliation politics, if the PTI Chairman didn’t change his behavior against the PML-N leadership. In this regard, he said they would make contact with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) and other alliance parties of PTI in the province to form PML-led government in KP.
