Chinese envoy lauds PTI govt’s efforts for stabilising economy

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing called on Prime Minister’s Adviser on Finance and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in Islamabad on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the ambassador informed the Pakistani side about the Chinese president’s expected visit to Pakistan in the middle of this year.

Both sides agreed to accelerate work on ongoing projects in the areas of economy, infrastructure, research and development.

Hafeez Shaikh thanked the Chinese leadership and the people for their strong support to Pakistan in every difficult time and for its full participation in Pakistan’s economic and social development.

They also discussed to speed up work on ongoing projects under second phase of CPEC and Chinese investment in social and cultural sectors of Pakistan.

The Chinese ambassador appreciated PTI government’s efforts to bring economic stability in the country and conveyed the interest of Chinese private sector to invest in Pakistan.
