YouTube can be strict when it comes to copyright infringement with sometimes entire YouTube channels getting demonetized. Although YouTube copyright claim disputes are a real problem, now YouTube launches new tool to help with such copyright claims. YouTube has updated its Dashboard so that users and content creators can now easily see which of their videos has any copyrighted material and not only that but they also have an option to remove said material from their videos. There is a new section called “Restrictions” where the users can see which of their uploaded content is affected. The section shows details on which parts of the video contains the copyrighted data and who has launched the copyright claim as well as who owns the content. Steps are provided to solve the claim for instance, the user can simply remove the part with the copyrighted material and update the video. In case of a video with copyrighted audio, the user can simply mute that audio and solve the claim. Although with video that is copyrighted, the user or content creator needs to trim out the part of that video to release the claim. The Trim function has been added by YouTube on the Video Copyright details page according to their post. Notably, the copyright issues have always been present between creators and music labels of third party companies but now at least the videos of content creators will remain monetized following this update. In brief, YouTube has also said that it will look into the matter more in the coming year to improve these copyright disputes even more
