ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday disposed of a review petition of contempt of court against Prime Minister Imran Khan. IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the petition seeking action against the premier on charges of contempt of court filed by Saleem Ullah Khan advocate. The petitioner insisted that his petition should not be disposed of without issuing a notice adding that the PM has committed the contempt of court through his speech and prayed the court reviewing its verdict to take action against the premier on charges of the contempt of court. Justice Athar Minallah asked why elected representative should be dragged in the matter and urged to neglect what has been said, adding that the “contempt of court is the matter between court and committer”. After hearing the argument the court disposed of the case.
