An employee of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH), Mukesh Kumar, held protest demonstration along with his wife Kaveeta and two daughters at Jinnah Bagh on Sunday against the menace of money lenders. Mukesh alleged while talking to the media persons that he got a loan of Rs 245,000 from an influential medical store owner namely Manoj Kumar five years ago and so far he had paid him rs 700,000 but even then the lender got registered two separate cases against him at Waleed and Kanga police station of Larkana through his henchman Ramesh. He said he was sent to jail where he spent 17 months and have recently been released. He further alleged that now Manoj is threatening him, his wife and two daughters Meesha & Fiza of dire consequences due to which his daughters have stopped going to school and they remain afraid whole time which is barbaric act and unjust. He urged IGP Sindh, DIGP & SSP Larkana to take notice of the menace of money lending in the district and take harsh actions properly so that poverty-stricken people get relief and earn their blessings. Mukesh is a sanitary worker in CMCH. It must be mentioned here that money lending business is flourishing in entire Sindh but so many people had been protesting in Larkana against this abuse which has ruined many families but the authorities despite tall claims have failed to wipe out this illegal business due to which disputes occur frequently and silently between the affected parties because the lenders are very powerful and enjoying support of police officers and other influential personalities.
