ISLAMABAD: Students of Islamabad Model College for Girls I-14 Islamabad have voiced strong protest over non-appointment of regular lecturers in the college saying lack of regular teachers is causing difficulties in completing their syllabus. The girl students said that from the very beginning no regular lecturer has been appointed and teachers from other federal educational institutions were transferred to this college. At present 9 teachers are conducting classes. Among them 5 are daily wages teachers, two have been taken from Margalla college, one is school teacher and one is working on deputation. No regular teacher has been appointed. According to sources physics teacher is teaching two more subjects including Pakistan studies and statistics in addition to her own subject. Likewise Mathematics teacher is teaching two additional subjects of Islamiat and chemistry as well. Education teacher is teaching Economics subject as well. This state of affairs has set in deterioration in education standard in the college. The students and their parents have appealed to ministry of CADD and FDE to take steps for immediate appointment of regular teachers in the college. What a joke it is with the education that one teacher is teaching 3 subjects, they questioned.
