Pakistan’s senior amateur golf team left for Malaysia here Monday to compete in the Asia Pacific Senior Amateur Golf Championship 2019 scheduled to be held at the picturesque Sungai Long Golf and Country Club Golf Course in Kauala Lumpur. This international event will be held over three rounds from November 20 to 22 at the world class golf course designed by golf master Jack Nicklaus and is being organised by the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation and the Malaysian Golf Association. The Pakistan team comprises of senior amateurs above 55 years of age and includes accomplished players like Asif Mehdi, Rustam Chatta, M Shafi, M Waqar, Shoaib Ahmed and Javed A Khan who were selected after highly competitive trials arranged by the Pakistan Golf Federation. Expectations are that they will bring honours to the country .Opposing them will be highly skilled ones from Asia Pacific countries including India and the titles at stake are individual champion and team champion.
