Army chief awards ‘heroes’ of Quetta attack

RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif announced gallantry awards for Shaheed Captain Roohullah and injured Naib Subedar Muhammad Ali on Tuesday.

They were awarded for their valiant action during an anti-terrorist operation at Quetta’s police training centre as having neutralised one suicide bomber, they cornered the second bomber – helping a large number of police recruits to escape till he exploded – causing the damage.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Captain Roohullah Shaheed will be awarded Tamgha-e-Jurat and Naib Subedar Muhammad Ali Tamgha-e-Basalat.
