The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday sought written reply from the parties in service promotion case before next hearing and adjourned the case for two months. Chief Justice Athar Minallah resumed the hearing of case and in his remarks he was of the view that the institutions should be unbiased. The court rebuked the Health Deputy Secretary for his ignorance about Civil Service Law and questioned then why the promotion was not made. Naveed Anjum Advocate explained before the court that the DPC has deprived legible doctors of promotions. He prayed that the IHC should cancel the October 10, 2019 notification of DPC. Deputy Secretary when questioned by the court about difference between deputation and promotion was unable to respond. Reacting to this, CJ Athar Minallah said that the Secretary should be summoned instead and where his is? Advocated Murad Baloch said that the court had sought reply from Health Ministry, Chairman DPC and Executive Director Poly Clinic (FGSH) but they haven’t yet. The Health Ministry officials sought time for reply over which the court directed to submit reply before next hearing and adjourned the hearing from two weeks.
