UMT to help increase literacy rate: Ibrahim Hasan

University of Management and Technology (UMT) President Ibrahim Hasan Murad met Raja Rashid Hafeez Provincial Minister of Punjab for Literacy and Non Formal Basic Education here at UMT Johar Town campus.

While sharing thoughts President UMT and Provincial Minister of Punjab shed light on the educational infrastructure of the country and discussed the current scenario of Non Formal Basic Education. Prof. Sajjad Qamar, Dean School of Social Sciences and Humanities and CoD of Education department Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Akhtar, Prof. Dr. Naheed Khwaja was also present in this meeting.

Provincial Minister Raja Rashid Hafeez discussed the challenges and problems faced by Literacy & Non Formal Basic Education and how those issues could overcome by finding better & practical solutions. He also urged President UMT to provide assistance in this matter.

President UMT Ibrahim Hassan Murad shared his thoughts and said that in collaboration with Punjab Government, UMT will arrange an International conference to get the new ideas from experts internationally on the matter. Furthermore he added that such joint ventures will play a vital role in educational growth of Nation. President UMT Ibrahim Hassan Murad presented souvenir to Provincial Minister Raja Rashid Hafeez.
