UMT president calls on Senate chairman

University of Management and Technology (UMT) President Ibrahim Hassan Murad met Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani in Islamabad and discussed contemporary issues like leadership amongst youth and legislation on youth affairs.

He also briefed chairman Senate on educational infrastructure of UMT and shared that the university is ranked among Asia’s top 500 universities which is providing quality education and producing future leaders of country. He said students from every district of Balochistan are getting quality education on scholarships at UMT.

Senate chairman appreciated the educational services of UMT not only for Balochistan but also for the whole country. Sanjrani said Balochistan must be uplifted in the field of education so that Bloch people can play their role in the development of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, UMT President Ibrahim Hassan Murad has said the world is facing grave issue of climate change and this problem is going to be more severe in near future. Youth and students can play a vital role in addressing the said issue by launching public awareness campaigns, he said, adding that UMT is also working to take steps to equip its students with the latest training and tools available to address the issue.

Pakistan is not only running out of forests but also urbanization is increasing at the rate of 3% annually, he said, adding that tt is need of the hour to make some serious efforts by engaging students and youth to work for the cause.
