A seminar was organised on ‘Humanitarian Crisis in Kashmir’ at the State Duma of Russian Federation in Moscow in collaboration with the Association of Young Parliamentarians.
Representatives of Institute of Oriental Studies Moscow, media houses including Sputnik, RT, Rianovesti and Tass, youth forums, education institutions and numbers of Pakistani community attended the event.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion were Kristina Tatarnikova, Association of Young Parliamentarians; Sokoreva Yulia Alexandrovna, president of the charity fund ‘LADA’; Andrew Korybko, analyst; Dr Jumma Marri, chairman of OPBU; Vladimir Litsovy, writer and analyst; Shahbaz Malik, president of OPBU; Dr Zahid Khan, president of Pakistan Business Forum; and Ambassador Qazi Khalillulah.
The speakers highlighted the atrocities being committed by the Indian forces in the occupied valley. Russian participants took keen interest in the seminar and noted the fact that it was the first-ever event on Kashmir issue in the Russia’s history. In the end, the ambassador gave shields to all the speakers. Transcript of UN resolutions in Russian language was also presented to all the foreign participants.
