The OPF Girls College, Islamabad arranged an event to express solidarity with the people of Indian Held Kashmir (IHK), on Thursday. In a National Defence Day ceremony at its campus, students, teachers and staff commemorated the sacrifices of the armed forces. Special Assistant to Prime Minister Zulfi Bukhari was the chief guest at the ceremony, while Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Managing Director Dr Amer Sheikh also attended the event. The students performed poems, songs and presented tableau depicting sufferings of the Kashmiri people. Students of different classes also presented songs saluting the martyrs of the country. Bukhari highlighted the importance of the day and applauded the performances. He acknowledged the ample opportunities that the college had provided to the students for co-curricular activities.
