Sir: The ever-increasing population is a serious challenge for Pakistan economy and development. Pakistan is the 6th populated country in all over the world and 2nd populated country in Muslim world. Presently, the total population of Pakistan is 203,216,893. Rapid growth of population always created suiciding, child marriages, child labouring, child abuses, begging, robbing, unemployment, poverty, illiteracy and the growth of terrorism. Today, Pakistan has failed to manage its economy and growth rate. Pakistan is also debtor of World Bank, IMF, America and Chinaetc etc. As it is important to noted that family planning is one of the greatest sources of controlling the population of country where people will be sensitive and responsible but majority of Pakistanis don’t accept concept of family planning. It is the government’s responsibility to take a bold stepsto implement new laws for controlling the population and family planning has an important role for decreasing the rapid population.
