As many as 35 vintage and classic cars (from 1935-75) were put on display at the show and visitors appreciated the owners of the cars for maintaining the quality and preserving the grace of vehicles. The visitors on the occasion were seen clicking pictures with the classic car models.

During their two-day stay in Lahore, the vintage car rally participants visited different localities of the city including the Walled City and other major roads to create awareness among the people about the event besides teaching them ways to protect and preserve their vehicles.

Visitors said that such events created awareness and encouraged people to maintain their old vehicles and restore its worth. They further said that the VCCCP was providing a common platform for classic car enthusiasts in Pakistan for the pursuit of their passion and to create an activity for the masses.

The rally made a journey from Karachi to Gambat to Rahim Yar Khan to Multan and then reached Lahore. They would start their next journey for Islamabad and would have a three-day stay at the capital before a grand show at 2F2F Karting Club, Islamabad.

VCCCP Karachi President Karim Chhapra, while exclusively talking with Daily Times, said, “The response of Lahories was fabulous and they took keen interest in the show, which was heartening for us.”

He said that the main objective of the show was to spread awareness of the hobby of preservation of vintage and classic cars, which we consider as a heritage. “The journey started with just only 15 vehicles from Karachi and would likely conclude with 90 vehicles in Peshawar,” he added.
