Sir: Water scarcity is a serious threat and one of the most strenuous tasks for Pakistan. There are numerous reasons of water decline, but the first and foremost reasons behind water crises are absence of water reservoirs and dams which was supposed to be built after water treaty signed in 1958. It is ironic that after the completion of two dams ie Tarbela and Mangla in 1970, all governments failed to construct other dams. Increase in population needs more water reservoirs. Some reports have mentioned that if we would fail to handle water woes then Pakistan would be a country sans water. Time has come to take decision regarding the small and big dam building.
