‘Individualland’ Pakistan arranged a discussion session on the topic: ‘Civic Engagement Planning with City Government officials’ on Wednesday. “I have never attended such an informative session before as through this event the main stakeholders of the society, local government officials, civil society members and youth have come together to discuss the issues faced within the community and also work together as a team to resolve such grave issues which include water crisis, early child marriages, child labour and education,” said Rajjab Ali, a youth after participating in the session, organised at a local hotel. Another participant was of the view that the event had provided people with a lot of knowledge regarding the development of social action plans. The participants belonged to different areas of Karachi which included Chakiwara, Chakra Goth, Phelwan Goth, Ibrahim Hyderi and Paposh Nagar. The main aim of the session was to make the three stakeholders work together as a team to develop social action plans for resolving the issues faced in these areas. The participants lauded the efforts of ‘Individualland’ Pakistan for organising such a great event and demanded such events should also be held in the future.
