Vietnam is expected to host an international firework festival in central Da Nang city in 2017, one of the largest fireworks festivals in Asia, said the organiser on Monday. According to People’s Committee of Da Nang city, some 600 km south of capital Hanoi, organiser of the event, the festival will take place from April 29 to June 24, 2017 under the theme “Shining Ngu Hanh Son.” The festival is projected to draw participation of eight teams from countries and regions with strong firework arts like China, the United States, and France among others, reported the state-run news agency VNA. Inspiring from Da Nang’s iconic Ngu Hanh Son mountains, the event will include a series of five fireworks nights named Hoa, Tho, Kim, Thuy and Moc. All fireworks nights will be broadcast live on Vietnam’s state-run television. The organiser set a target to lure some two million person-times of tourists during the event, said VNA. Marble Mountains is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills located in Ng? Hành S?n District, south of Da Nang city in Vietnam. The five mountains are named after the five elements: Kim, Thuy, Moc, Hoa and Tho. All of the mountains have cave entrances and numerous tunnels, and it is possible to climb to the summit of Mt Thuy.
