Actress and comedienne Mindy Kaling took to Twitter to share her love for the Pakistani-American superhero and claimed that when ‘Ms Marvel’ will hit television screens or cinemas, it is going to be huge. She also clarified that she doesn’t know whether or not a film or TV series is on the way. Although the ‘Late Night’ star earlier said in an interview with MTV News that she talked to the Marvel team about a Ms Marvel/Kamala Khan project and they are interested in the character. “They really seemed interested and I think they will probably do something. Now that there’s like this streaming platform with them, it might be something like that, but I think they understand how much excitement there is,” she said. Mindy Kaling, who has been one of the most vocal supporters of bringing ‘Ms Marvel’ to the big screen also said that an “unknown actor” should play the teenage superhero if an adaptation was made. When actor Riz Ahmed tagged Kaling and stand-up comedian and actor Kumail Nanjiani in a Tweet in 2018, she responded, “Riz! I am obsessed with this comic book, I’ve read them all. I love Kamala Khan.”
