Heavy rain was recorded in Shikarpur and its adjoining districts on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday owing to which prolonged power outage was recorded and many people sustained severe injuries due to falling of walls over them in Shikarpur district. Injured people including children were referred to Civil Hospital Shikarpur for medical treatment where their condition was said to be out of danger. Protest against attacks on seminary students In another incident in Shikarpur, groups of Jamaat-e-Ahle-Sunnat recorded their protest against alleged attackers of Madarsa students and demanded their arrest, here on Friday. Rally was led by Allama Shafiq Ahmed Qadri, Allama Habib Qadri, Fazalullah Noorani and Allama Masood Ahmed Qadri and joined by political parties including Qomi Awami Tehreek and Jeay Sindh Qomi Mahaz and some city organizations. Speaking on the occasion, leaders expressed their concerns over the attack on the students of Madarsa and said that the attack on the students of Madarsa Ghosiya Jilania would not be tolerated. They alleged that Jeayand Mahar and his accomplices attacked and lodged a fake case against religious leaders of Madarsa and further alleged that attacker wanted to occupy the land of Dargah Haji Latif Shah and its graveyard.
