Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Information, Law and Anticorruption Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Monday said that Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed had always made political gimmicks and used foul language, and now he was under the influence of his new master. In a statement, he said that instead of concentrating on the affairs of his ministry, Rasheed was trying his best to win the heart of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that the condition of Pakistan Railways was unsatisfactory and he should concentrate on improving it. The adviser said that Rasheed was demanding resignation from others, which was beyond understanding, and wondered when Rasheed would be tendering his resignation over frequent train accidents in the country. He demanded resignation from Rasheed on his terrible performance as the railways minister, and said that due to the poor performance of the minister, the deficit of the Pakistan Railways had increased manifolds. He said that Rasheed should know that no one except the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was responsible for devastation of the country’s economy. He said that on the directives of the honourable court, the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) would be revived in the stipulated time. “Even our opponents have accepted that the Sindh government of the Pakistan People’s Party is making serious efforts for the revival of the KCR.” He said the Sindh government was serving the masses with all available resources, while policies of the federal government had brought a tsunami of inflation in the country, which had increased the miseries of the people, especially in the holy month of Ramazan.
