KHYBER AGENCY: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Wednesday said the Afghan government was levelling baseless allegations against Pakistan. Nisar said Pakistan and Afghanistan have embedded in the bonds of culture and the people living at the both side have cordial relations for decades, adding that the government of Afghanistan without any solid proofs was hurling allegations at Pakistan.

He said this while talking to reporters at Michni checkpoint in Landi Kotal tehsil of Khyber Agency on his visit to Torkham bordering area. He said Operation Zarb-e-Azb has been launched against terrorists, adding that anti-state elements were either killed or fled away to the neighbouring country where they were planning to enter Pakistan. He said that terrorists were crossing into Pakistan by showing that they are Afghan nationals; therefore border management was inevitable to be implemented. To stop the entry of anti-state elements concrete steps have been taken. He added that proper security system along with Pak-Afghan border has also been installed. He claimed that the government had achieved 90 percent targets in war on terrorism and extremism, adding that the remaining 10 percent would also be gained with the support of people. “The terrorism was decreasing in Pakistan but unfortunately it was increasing at global level as there are no safe havens of militants’ factions in the country after the successful launch of Zarb-e-Azb,” he maintained.
