Rawalpindi choking with traffic jams

The citizens suffer daily due to traffic jams in the morning during school and office timings; long queues of vehicles are observed on the roads of Rawalpindi. The citizens face problems due to routine traffic jam on several city roads due to heavy traffic load, traffic mismanagement, rules violations and encroachments. Talking about traffic jam in the city, Kashif Mehmood, a government employee, said that Murree road from Waris Khan to Marer Chowk remains choked for hours due to unorganized traffic especially during morning and evening. The Benazir Bhutto Road, Raja Bazaar Road, Liaquat Bagh Road, Bank Road, Bunni Chowk, Said Pur Road, Sadiqabad, Farooq-e-Azam Road, Peerwadhai Road, Tench Bhatta, and 22 Number Chungi have much importance for the residents of Rawalpindi but traffic jam has become a routine matter on these roads.
