Cyclone Kenneth has made landfall in northern province of Cabo Delgado on Thursday evening. It has struck a country still recovering from the previous storm. At least three people have already been killed and the cyclone has brought winds up to the speed of 220km/h (140mph). Mozambique’s National Institute of Disaster Management (INGC) announced that nearly 30,000 people have been evacuated already from areas likely to be hit. The country is still reeling from the after effects of another Cyclone, Last month Cyclone Idai caused hundreds of deaths in the region. More than 900 people died when Cyclone Idai hit Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe while least three million people were left in need of humanitarian assistance.
