The persistent cheating in Board Exams has brought Chairman Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) Inam Ahmed in action. Earlier on the day, he took sudden decision to disqualify the exams controller M. Azeem Siddiqui after the poor performance and negligence to stop cheating in examination halls. As usual, Sindh Education and Literacy Department could not stop cheating and coping in the examination halls. The department along with the exams controllers turned a blind eye over the leaked papers. Another case of leaked paper took place the other day. ‘Urdu Paper’ on Tuesday was leaked 40 minutes before the exam time on the social media. The cheating mafia has made their WhatsApp groups to share the leaked papers; therefore the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) could do nothing to stop it from getting shared. All officials along with the exam controller and the intermediate board seemed helpless against the cheating mafia, and then had to take help from DG Rangers Sindh. Besides this, the parents demanded Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah to take an instantaneous action in opposition to cheating mafia’s unlawful activity. Daily Times learned that most of the examination papers under the intermediate board have been leaked while the trend of copying is on the rise too However, the chairman BIEK has suspended exams controller Azeem Siddique and given authority to Deputy Controller Shujat Hashmi since before beginning the exams. The controller was also caught in the sting operation. An audio tape in which he is speaking about taking bribe is now circulating the social media.In his supervision, I.Com (Part 1) Principles of Commerce was also leaked on social media, but the authorities were silent except making assurances of action. The Daily Times learned that most of the examination papers under the intermediate board have been leaked in the recent examinations, while the trend of copying on multiple examinations is common too. Copy mafia seemed destroying the roles of education at Shaheed-e-Millat Government Girls College (SMGGC) examination centers; favoritism at its peak by taking bribe allows the students to copy. According to the sources, controller Azeem Siddiqui and board staff are involved in with the copy mafia, the answer copies are written at Qadi Farhan Coaching Center where the writers have been hired who prepare bundles of copy and on the front page the role number of favorite students (who bribe to copy mafia) is written. Finally, the question of parents is that could cheating be stopped by disqualifying the Azeem Siddique? However, they demanded transparency in educational places and to remove preferential treatments.
