Sindh Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah, on Tuesday, took serious notice of the alleged rape and murder of a female patient at the Sindh Government Hospital, Korangi.

According to his spokesperson, the CM demanded a detailed report of the matter.

The deceased victim’s family maintained that she was taken to a hospital in Karachi’s Korangi area for treatment of gum infection, where she ended up losing her life.

Her death case took a turn for the worse on April 20 when the police claimed that she was murdered after being subjected to sexual abuse.

Korangi Police relayed that the victim woman’s autopsy report had confirmed she was administered a poisonous injection after being subjected to sexual assault at the hospital located in Korangi No 5.

A first information report (FIR) was also lodged on the basis of her brother’s complaint against a paramedic, Shahzeb, and Dr Ayaz Abbasi. Shahzeb was later arrested at Awami Colony Police Station.
