To celebrate the rich diversity of the culture of Nepal, a two-day Nepalese food festival is being organised in the federal capital in collaboration with the Embassy of Nepal. The first-of-its kind festival hosted by the Islamabad Marriott Hotel is set to kick off on Thursday (today), attracting food enthusiasts from the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Reflective of the vibrant Nepalese culture, the food festival will offer a slice of Nepalese cuisine that combines traditional flavours with a unique flair. A guest chef, Shiva Roka, who has flown all the way from Fairfield Marriott Nepal, and the Executive Chef of Islamabad Marriott Hotel Chef Thomas, along with their teams, will offer mouth-watering delights from the exquisite cuisine and extend warm hospitality all the way from Kathmandu to the Coffee Shop ofthe hotel. During the festival, only the finest and freshest ingredients will be used to create an exotic menu that combines healthy eating with tasty flavours, bringing native ingredients to serve the most authentic dishes to all lovers of the unique Nepalese cuisine. The delicacies to be served at the festival include: Thukpa, Gorkhali LambYomari,Chatamari Nepalese Pizza, Pulao and Dal Bhat. Adding to the ambiance, Nepalese cultural troupe Kutumba will enthral guests with traditional folk music. Following the two-day extravaganza at the Islamabad Marriott Hotel, the festival will travel to Karachi Marriott Hotel and Pearl Continental Lahore. The festival promises to offer the quintessential Nepalese experience in all of these three major cities of Pakistan.
