Sir: Nowadays, even teens are suffering from depression. It’s not unusual for young people to experience feel ‘down in the dumps’ occasionally. Unrealistic academic, social, family expectation can create a strong sense of rejection and lead to deep disappointment. When things go wrong in their life teens often overreact.Many youngsters feel that life is not fair. They feel ‘stressed out’ and lose their hopes for betterment. They confused about making a decision. Adolescences are always an unsettling time. Teens are bombarded by conflicting messages from parents, friends, and society. Teens need adult guidance more than ever to understand all the emotional and physical changes they are experiencing. Some people with depression actually suffer from rumination. They over-think about situations which lead them to negative thoughts. It can increase feelings of worthlessness, sad, anxious, empty feeling of hopelessness, irritability, loss of pleasure, Thoughts of death or suicide. These thoughts, feelings, and physical changes lead to the anxiety attack.The thinking point of view of Pakistani’s people is; they scared from the Psychiatrist name. Psychiatrist is a frightening word from them. Most of people don’t even think that someone is suffering from serious mental depression and he/she needs mental assistance. Many people with mental illness have to change their mind because most of peoples with major depression also show some signs of anxiety and 15-30 percent has panic attacks. If any of your friend or family members are showing signs of depression, you should encourage them to seek help. Depression is a serious illness that requires treatment just like a physical ailment. Mental health professionals will be able to help you. Mental depression is a serious issue. People’s should be aware of this and provide help their loved ones who are suffering from mental illness.
