Karachi University

Sir: Karachi University is well known educational institute in the world but basic facilities are not up to the mark. Students are facing difficulties regarding pick-n-drop or service point. The aim of this point service is to provide facility to the students especially for those who belong to middle class families.

This service seems to be the most fascinating factor for the students. There are around 42 thousand students enrolled in KU and only 28 buses are available. How many of those 42 thousand students could avail this service? Most of the students have to arrange their own costly convenience.

Just imagine, KU have 52 departments and 28 overloaded buses. Students can be seen hanging out from the doors which is unsafe and of high risk. Same is the case with rickshaw service inside KU. Students of various departments have to travel for other departments to take classes. This service is charging 40 or 50 rupees fare from students. Students claim that the fare is so unbearable for them and its makes difficult for them to bear the brunt.

I want the authorities to look into this matter and take action and should provide to good transport for students.
