Jordan Peele thinks you should scared of scissors. The latest horror offering from “Get Out” director, “Us” weapon of choice is a golden pair of scissors, and if you’re not already afraid of this common household object, Peele’s flick may put you over the edge. “You should already be scared of scissors,” Peele told Variety, “I love that everyday objects are used as weapons in horror films. It’s a quintessential trope. I don’t shy away from horror tropes to make my stories.” “We are afraid of the outsider. Our fear lies in this idea that there’s a bad guy is coming to get us. This movie is about the fact that we are our own worst enemy” Starring Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke as the parents of a family of four confronted by horrific doppelgängers, fans are very curious what’s really happening in this mysterious flick. “You need to see the movie because there are a lot of messages to take away,” Peele said. “What I have talked about so far is that we as a culture, we are afraid of invaders. We are afraid of the outsider. Our fear lies in this idea that there’s a bad guy is coming to get us. This movie is about the fact that we are our own worst enemy.” “Us” opens on March 21.
