The Saudi Arabian government has announced a new policy regarding Umrah visas wherein pilgrims are required to make the journey within 15 days of its issuance. The authorities have also warned that visas of those not following the new orders would be suspended. Previously, Saudi Arabia allowed pilgrims to perform umrah within 30 days of visa approval. Sources noted that the conditions would apply on Umrah visas being issued by Karachi Counsel General from March 8, where in visa holders would have to go to Saudi Arabia within 15 days or face visa expiration.
