Delegation forwards concerns to MD WASA over cleanliness situation

A delegation consisting of Sagheer Butt secretary information PPP Gujranwala, Kamran Khalid Butt , Furqan Aziz Butt and traders leader kashif Ashraf met with MD waste management company and discussed the poor cleanliness situation in the city. The political and traders representatives told to the MD WASA that cleanliness situation in the city has got worse as there were big heaps of garbage and filth in all the roads and streets which caused ill smell and diseases in the areas. They stressed the MD WASA to take special measures for lifting the garbage from the roads and streets. MD WASA Attiq ur Rehman told the delegation that all out efforts are being done to remove the filth from the city areas but due to rain and shortage of staff and machinery we are facing troubles. He assured the delegation that approval for purchase of three more vehicles have been done and in the next few days, citizens would witness a positive change in respect of cleanliness situation in the city.
