RWP police crackdown against kite flyers and manufacturers

RAWALPINDI: A massive crackdown by Rawalpindi police is continuing against the kite flyers to ensure strict implementation of the kite flying ban. Around 231 cases of kite flying were registered in various police stations of the city.

According to the police spokesman, 296 accused were arrested during the operations against the kite flyers, manufacturers and dealers this year. Whereas, 58 thousand kites, 8 thousand strings are also recovered from them.

The police also confiscated three motorcycles, two Suzuki vans, one amplifier and four speakers in possession of the accused.

The city Police officer (CTO) Abbas Ahsan urged parents to stop their children from kite flying and one-wheeling in order to save their lives as well as of others.
