Agha Siraj Durrani presented in accountability court

KARACHI: Agha Siraj Durrani, speaker of Sindh assembly who was arrested yesterday from a private hotel in Islamabad has been presented in the accountability court in Karachi today.

Siraj Durrani was under investigation for the illegal appointment of individuals on various government positions, accumulating assets beyond means and misuse of funds for the construction of the MPA Hostel and Sindh assembly building.

NAB officers carried out a raid at their residence in Karachi on Wednesday and confiscated three boxes worth of items and papers in a 7 hours long raid, informed Siraj’s’ family.
